Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on a 100 percent small business set-aside, 1 each -- Radar Antenna Pedestal with an option for 1 each to be exercised by 30 September 2001. The NAICS code is 334511 and the size standard is 750. The pedestal must meet the following specifications: 1)Az Pedestal coverage,360 degrees continuous; 2)El Pedestal coverage, -10 to +85 El (minimum); 3)Rated Gear Torque, Az 180 ft-lb El >200 ft-lb; 4)Az Velocity, 15 degrees per second (minimum); 5)Az Acceleration, 15 degrees per second squared (minimum); 6)El Velocity, 5 degrees per second (minimum); 7)El Acceleration, 5 degrees per second squared (minimum); 8)Az Slip Rings, 18 for user (6 must have minimum 3 amp capacity); 9)PC control, prefer RS232, or adapted to RS232; 10)PC update rate, 10 updates per second (minimum); 11)Input power, 60 cycle utility power; 12)Backlash, <0.1 degrees; 13)Payload Weight, 100 lbs; 14)Pedestal Weight, <300 lbs; 15)Control cable, 60 ft; 16)PC sample software or interface programming definitions; 17)Controller must fit in a 19 inch rack or be weatherproof; 18)Survive Winds up to 100 mph, temperature up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit; 19)Operate during winds of up to 30 mph and temperatures up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit; 20)Limit and safety switches. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. Delivery is required on or before 30 August 2001 at NAWS China Lake, CA. FOB point is Destination. Delivery of the optional item is 7 months after exercise of option.
