Description

NAVICP-Mechanicsburg intends to award a firm fixed price Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contract for total support and managment services for twenty-seven Programmable Logic Controls installed on various ship classes in support of the "Smart Ship" program. The CLS will include the process for the contractor to provision, stock, repair or replace, store and ship serviceable equipment to the user upon demand. The goal is to have 100% availability and reliability which will reduce the Government's inventory investment and lower the cost of ownership. The contract period is five years with three base years and two option years. This aquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess drawings or unrestrictive technical data, therefore, the Government intends to solicit, negotiate and contract with the approved source IAW the authority under 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) The approved source is CAGE 01121. Note 22 applies.
