Description

The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate under FAR Part 13 -- SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES on a sole source basis with the American Psychological Association, 750 First Street, NE, Washington, DC 20002 to convene a Summit on Women and Depression, bring together 40 internationally renowned experts across disciplines who will present state-of-the-art knowledge on women and depression, and develop a publication on the Prevention and Treatment of Depression in Women. Since the American Psychological Association as co-sponsor will bring it prestige as the largest scientific and professional organization representing psychology in the United States, access to their members, and the largest distribution network of psychological publications, the American Psychological Association is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and service under authority in 41 U.S.C.253 (1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(I). This is not a solicitation. A copy of the solicitation has not yet been produced. A copy of the Justification for Other then Full and Open Competition is on file.
