Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The reference number is F5XLGL01440300. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This acquisition is unrestricted; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333314. The acquisition is for remedial maintenance and repair for various models of borescopes and light sources for the period of 20 Nov 00 through 30 Seo 01, with four one year options. Services to include repair and/or replacement with like item of various models of borescopes and light sources, as follows (model numbers are Olympus America): 16-each borescopes, model numbers _ 6650-01-XXX-XXXX; 1-each Videoimagescope, model number _ IV6C5-20; 1-each Camera Control Unit, 1-each model number _ IV-5A; 1-each Light Source, model number -- ILV-2; 1-each TV Camera, OTC-5; 1-each Rigid Borescope, model number -- Series 5; 2-each Light Source, model numbers _ ILK-C AND ilk-4; 1-each LCD Color Monitor, model number _ FDL-X40. The model numbers provided above are meant to show the Government_s minimum requirements. Offerors can quote on repair and/or replacement with like items, but must submit evidence of capability of repairing said items and compatibility of replacements. Offerors quoting equals must provide descriptive literature to the extent necessary to allow the Government to determine the technical acceptability of the equal item. Service repairs and/or replacements must be delivered to Edwards AFB CA 93524 within 60 days of receipt of defective borescope equipment. FOB Destination. The following provisions and clauses apply: Provision 52.252-1 Solicitation Provisions Incorporated by Reference. This solicitation incorporates one or more solicitation provisions by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. Upon request, the Contracting Officer will make their full text available. (End of Provision) Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial; clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items (to include: 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam Era Veterans; 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers; 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Special Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era); clause 52.232-33 Mandatory information for electronic funds transfer payment; and provision 52.212-2 Evaluation_Commercial Items, the following factor shall be used to evaluate offers: technically acceptable lowest priced offer. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with the offer.
