- Description
- This is not a solicitation but a market survey to determine the potential sources to provide logistic support for two hundred and five (205) AN/ARN-155, P/N P520A003-01, -02, and -03 (NSN 5826-01-441-1054, 5826-01-462-6002, and 5826-01-478-3739), Precision Landing System Receivers (PLSR). The Air Force anticipates the issuance of a (6) six month extension to the current ICS contract, F19628-93-C-0116 with BAE Systems Wayne, N.J. The PLSR is a multi-mode avionics receiver, able = to process guidance signals from Instrument Landing System (ILS),Microwave Landing System (MLS), Global Positioning System (GPS), and Very-high frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR) equipment. The PLSR is currently operational on the C-17 aircraft. The government will provide a Level = I drawing package and a single LRU (Line Replacable Unit) test set. The Government plans to furnish the initial spare parts inventory to be maintained by the contractor. Interested firms should include the company name; address; CAGE code; a point of contact, size = of business (i.e., large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern, or small women-owned business); U.S. or foreign owned entity in their response. In addition, any responses shall = address firm's capabilities to perform the following tasks and meet these = specific criteria: 1) Provide ICS support beginning no later than 16 Feb 2001. 2) Have or be able to acquire ILS, MLS, GPS, and VOR experience, and perform the repair, = supply, and support functions on Air Force PLSR units. 3) Provide technical support for fault isolation diagnostics, PLSR installation problems and supply/support activities. 4) Provide PLSR technical and engineering support in-house or at remote locations. 5) Prescreen incoming failed PLSR items to test, isolate, and verify failure. 6) Possess or have access to test equipment capable of testing the PLSR. 7) Repair, = maintain and modify PLSR hardware/software. 8) Maintain spare parts inventory = in a bonded storage area and records of the supply/support actions. 9) Replenish spare parts inventory after repair of failed items. 11) = Procure additional spare parts as approved by the Government. 12) Plan, budget and track the above tasks. 13) Provide the Government with a monthly status report of all actions = taken pertaining to the supply/support and repair of the PLSR. Submit = statement of qualifications, along with supporting documentation to: ESC/GAK, 75 Vandenberg Drive, Hanscom AFB, MA 01731-2103, Attn: Ms. Barbara Cook or via electronic transmission to: cookb@hanscom.af.mil . Responses must be received no later than 30 calendar days after the date of this publication and should not exceed ten (10) pages on 8 =BD = x 11 inch paper with type no smaller than 10 pitch. An Acquisition Ombudsman, Colonel Joseph B. Magnone, Director, Commander's Staff, has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during proposal development. You should only contact the Ombudsman with issues or problems you cannot satisfactorily resolve with the program manager and/or contracting officer. The Ombudsman = role is to hear concerns, issues, and recommendations and communicate these = to the appropriate government personnel. The Ombudsman will maintain = strict confidentiality if desired.
