Description

U.S. Geological Survey, National Wetlands Research Center (NWRC), has a requirement for technical support services. The primary location for on-site support is the NWRC located in Lafayette, Louisiana. Secondary locations include field stations and offices located in Gulf Breeze, Florida, Corpus Christi and Nacogdoches, Texas, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. The majority of work will be ordered via multiple task orders to the contract. Contractor will be required to recruit, on an as needed basis, technically qualified persons to perform the following major service areas including (1) Administration and Management (2) Biological/Ecological Research, (3) Information and Technology Transfer, (4) Information Resources Management, and (5) Spatial Analysis, Data Base Development, and Mapping. Wages and benefits of service employees performing under this contract must be at least equal to the wages determined by the Department of Labor under the Service Contract Act. Period of performance is for a base contract period of twelve (12) months and includes four (4) one-year options. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about November 15, 2000. A preproposal conference will be held approximately 14 days after issuance of the solicitation, the scheduled date will be specified in the solicitation. Based on the anticipated issue date, responses will be due December 22, 2000. Requests for the solicitation must be in writing and may be sent via fax to the contracting officer at (303) 236-2710. This requirement is not set-aside for small business.
