Description
The Library of Congress intends to negotiate with EOS International, Carlsbad, CA for the continued maintenance support and specific enhancement of the Integrated Field Office System (IFOS) Software developed by EOSI.This software supports cataloging, acquistions and financial functions for the Library overseas operations and the Library's Cooperative Acquisitions Program. The IFOS cataloging module has been in full production in the overseas offices since April 1999. IFOS runs under Linux (currently Redhat 6.x) on Dell Poweredge servers. Clients are Intel based 586 Pcs with minimum processing speed of 333 MHz. The client runs under the DOS component of WIN9x. The Library believes that EOSI is the only vendor that can provide the maintenance and technical service that will satisfy the agency requirements. All interested parties may identify their capability to respond to the requirements by providing supporting evidence that they can furnish the required specific services without any interruption to the existing service and added expense that would exceed the total intended transaction cost. This is a notice of intent and not a request for proposal. Interested vendors shall include information describing their capabilities to provide specific enhancements to the software. Response to this synopsis must be made in writing and received within 15 days of this notice. Reference: S-LC01020
