Description

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to award an order to Inter-Voice-Brite, Inc. for the acquisition of application changes for the TeleTax System in support of the IRS Wage and Investment Division. The TeleTax System provides automated taxpayer assistance for tax law information and current year refund information . The current customized applications need changes to accommodate speech recognition in Spanish and English. Refund responses need to be updated, recorded, and loaded on 16 TeleTax systems. Vendors who can provide the required products at prices, terms and conditions equal to or better than those which can be provided by Inter-Voice-Brite should submit clear and convincing data in writing substantiating an ability to furnish this requirement. Any vendor wishing to respond to this offer must also provide clear and convincing evidence that his products and services are compatible with the customized hardware, software and telecommunications products designed by Inter-Voice-Brite for the IRS. Responses to this notice must be received by this office within 5 days of the date of publication of this synopsis. Any responses should be sent to: Internal Revenue Service, National Office Procurement, 6009 Oxon Hill Road, Room 700, Oxon Hill, MD 20745, Attn: Leona M. Brown, A:P:I:E. Responses will be accepted by facsimile at (202)283-0610. Facsimile responses must contain signatures, arrive at the place and by the time specified in this synopsis and may not exceed 5 pages. The Government will not be responsible for any failure attributable to the transmission or receipt of any facsimile information. No solicitation document exists for this requirement. Requests for same will be considered non-responsive. The reference number for this announcement is E-1-E0-01-A1-G02. If no compelling responses are received, award will be made to Inter-Voice-Brite, Inc.
