Description
Contractor to provide services for the environmental restoration efforts on the Pribilof Islands in Alaska through an Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery type contract. Work may include removal, treatment (on-site, off-site, in-situ, and ex-situ), transportation and disposal or any of the entire spectrum of contaminants, including hazardous, toxic, and petroleum-based constituents or any combination thereof. These contaminants may occur in various environments including soils, sludges, liquids, air, water debris, structures, and various containers. Work may include remedial activities such as underground storage tank removal/closure/replacement; drum sampling/characterization/bulking/disposal; excavation; soil/sludge stabilization/solidification Asbestos abatement; demolition; debris removal; treatment/disposal of investigation-derived wastes and decontamination-derived wastes; and free product recovery. Labor categories that may be required are: Laborers, Heavy Equipment Operators, Environmental Engineers, UST Specialist, Toxic/Hazardous Waste Specialist, Civil Engineers, Hydrologist/Geologist, Compliance Specialist, Site Safety Inspector, Draftsperson/CADD Operator, and others. The contractor shall be responsible for preparing necessary hazardous waste manifests, including record keeping and reporting, preparing solid waste shipping papers, obtaining necessary profiles and land disposal restriction notification forms, preparing exception reports, and assuring the waste is ultimately disposed of at the designated facility. The contract is for a base performance period of 12 months, with options for up to an additional four years. This is 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
