Description

Estimated requirements for medical transcription service contract is approximately 3.5 million lines per year for the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System, which includes the Malcolm Randall VAMC located in Gainesville, the Lake City VAMC, associated Outpatient Clinics in Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach and Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Ocala, and Valdosta, Georgia. Services are to begin on or about 12/1/00 through 11/30/01 with four, one-year, renewal options. Medical Transcription Service (MTS) consists of Discharge Summaries, C&P Exams, Observation Notes, Operation Reports, Progress Notes, History and Physical Exams, Consults and x-ray reports. Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Citrus, Lake and St. John counties will open during the duration of this contract. Transcription support for these clinics may be required. Contractor will be required to provide the equipment for our doctor's to dictate into at any given time (at least 30 lines at a time) and upload all reports into our medical center package, VISTA, within 24 hours. The method to upload our reports will require the use of IDCU lines (Government's integrated data communications utility) for security purposes. Solicitations will be available approximately 11/15/00. No requests will be accepted after that date. The contract will begin by January 2, 2001 or earlier if possible. This solicitation is issued in accordance with the commercial item format in FAR 12.303 as a small business set-aside.
