Description

Certain requirements from existing NASA contracts are planned to be consolidated into the Space Flight Operations Contract (SFOC), NAS 9-20000, in FY01. Effort to be consolidated includes the requirement for Crew Escape Suits, Extravehicular Maneuvering Unit, (EMU), and the Flight Crew Systems Development associated with the operations portion of the Neutral Buoyancy Lab (NBL) and the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility (SVMF). The Crew Escape Suits procurement is scheduled to be transitioned to SFOC immediately, while the efforts associated with the EMU and Flight Crew Systems Development will be transitioned approximately May of 2001.
