Description
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires guest rooms in a qualified hotel in Midtown or Downtown Manhattan for use by its Northeastern District Office for the base period of January 1 -- September 30, 2001 and for the option year of October 1, 2001 -- September 30, 2002. The contractor shall provide, on an as needed basis, guest rooms that have an oversized sleeping room, a sitting area (may be part of the sleeping area), a kitchenette and a bathroom. The OCC estimates that it will need 1250 room nights for the base period of the contract and the same number for the option year, if exercised. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; two stars or higher per the Mobil Travel Guide; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation mid November at www.eps.gov. The solicitation will contain the details of the requirement, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. This requirement will be procured using simplified acquisition procedures under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items in Subpart 13.5. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the OCC. OCC anticipates awarding a contract on or before December 31, 2000. *****
