- Description
- Provide packing, crating and local drayage service (Schedules I & II) to Eugene/Springfield, Oregon for the period: 1 January 2001 31 December 2001. Option to extend will be at Government's discretion. Services will consist of furnishing personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, material and services, except as specified Government-Furnished, for preparation and movement of personal property. Services include pre-move survey, servicing appliances, disassembly of furniture, packaging, inventorying, tagging, wrapping padding, packing and bracing household goods in Government-owned and furnished shipping containers. Services also include ensuring containers are properly secured and sealed for shipment, weighing, obliterating old markings, marking, strapping and drayage with in area of performance, loading shipments on line-haul carrier's equipment at contractor's facilities. Services for expensive and valuable items include inventorying each item, packing in Government approved or contractor furnished container(s), marking, banding and cubing at owner's residence. Storage of containerized articles will be furnished when ordered by the contracting officer. Other services include furnishing new containers or specially constructed wooden crates; remarking shipments for re-consignment; repair of containers; assembly/disassembly of Government owned containers; re-weighing and partial removal or items from outer container. This procurement is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The size standard is any concern including its affiliates with average annual sales or receipts for its proceeding three fiscal years not in excess of $18.5 million. NIAC Code: 48421. The Government intends to award one contract for both schedules. Telephonic request for solicitation will not be accepted.
