Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items or services prepared in accordance with format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued Request for Quotation (RFQ BLM-FAQ010004). The solicitation clause and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 5122. Delivery will be FOB Destination. DOI/Bureau of Land Management, Office of National Wild Horse and Burro Program intends to purchase 500 each, 10 ml, 10 dose vials of Strepguard Vaccine with Havlogen; 500 each, 10 ml, 10 dose vials of Prestige II Vaccine; and 20,000 each 3cc syringes, monoject with leur lock, 20x1 1/2 gauge needle. Material is in support of the program at Palomino Valley Center located in Sparks, Nevada. Delivery of one half of the order would be required by November 17, 2000. Expiration date of the vaccine is to be no earlier than September of 2001. The following factors will be used to evaluate offers: 1) technical capability of item offered to meet the government's requirements, 2) price and 3) delivery. The following FAR provisions apply to this solicitation: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items. All offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their offer. The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Order-Commercial Items; along with the following additional FAR clauses, cited in clause 52.215-5; 52.222-26 Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers; 52.222-37 Employment Reports on Special Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.225-3 Buy American Act-Supplies; Year 2000 Warranty -- Commercial Supply Items. The following provision also applies to this acquisition, 52.232-33 Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer Payment.
