Description

Pre-Production Qualification Program (PPQ). All supplies, services, materials, facilities, equipment, data, and management to complete qualification for the T800-LHT-801 Engine Program, to fabricate 34 engines and to provide Air Vehicle Support/Integration to the RAH Comanche Program. The planned period of performance is 1 April 2001 through December 2006. The proposed contractor is Light Helicopter Turbine Engine Company (LHTEC), a partnership between Rolls Royce and Honeywell, 2001 South Tibbs, Indianapolis, IN 46241. LHTEC is the designer, developer, and producer of the T800-LHT-801 engine. Therefore, they are the only source having the experience, expertise, and capability necessary to accomplish this effort. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by AMCOM. See Notes 22 and 26.
