Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The 11th Contracting Squadron/LGCN is conducting market research to seek qualified sources capable of providing and operating flight-worthy vintage aircraft for Air Force sponsored or supported military air shows and special events. Aircraft must be in flyable condition, and must have been previously flown for the Air Force, Army Air Corps, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, or other military service, or must have individual historical significance. Aircraft must be adequately equipped and crewed, and be adequately covered with liability insurance. Crews will be required to be proficient in formation flight and to be fully familiar with Air Combat Command aerial demonstration procedures, airspace use and restrictions. Potential sources must provide in their response to this announcement the following information in a statement of capabilities: (1) Descriptions of all available aircraft, including airframe history and current location; (2) Evidence of FAA pilot certification(s); (3) airworthiness certificate(s); (4) proof of liability insurance; (5) statement of standard fees. All respondents shall indicate whether they are large or small businesses (and if small businesses, identify if designated as 8(a) or HUB Zone entities) in relation to NAIC 532411, or SIC 7359 (size standard of $5 million). The government reserves the right to set this acquisition aside for small business. The Government will not pay for information that is submitted in response to this sources sought request. Include in the above information a point of contact, phone and fax numbers, mailing address, and email address (if available). All literature provided in response to this sources sought synopsis will become the property of the Government and will not be returned. Electronic submittals are preferred.
