Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, Subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation of Solicitation of Commercial Items, Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Department of Justice, United States Attorney's Office, District of Columbia, has a requirement for a hotel/conference center to provide private sleeping accommodations, eating facilities, meeting space and miscellaneous support services for its Advanced Criminal Training Conference to be held December 7-8, 2000. The facility should be in the Inner Harbor District of Baltimore, MD. The conference requires the following support: (1) -- Overnight accommodations on 12/7/00 for 150 participants. (2) -- Working hot meals (lunch & dinner) 12/7/00 and (breakfast & lunch) 12/08/00 for 150 participants each meal. (3) -- Refreshments for breaks, 12/7 & 12/8/00 for 150 participants each break, two breaks per day. (4) -- One break out room, 12/08/00, equipped with microphone and podium, large enough for 50 participants. (5) -- Miscellaneous support required for both days: four channel mixer -- one, microphones -- three, LCD projector -- one, overhead projector -- one, VCR -- one, 7'x 5'x 10' screen -- one, dedicated phone lines -- two. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. Offerors must comply with all instructions contained in FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items and must submit a completed copy of FAR 52-212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with their quotes. In addition, FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items apply. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose quote represents the best value to the Government.
