Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, material, and transportation to reset existing granite blocks, setting new granite blocks, pumping grout and incidental related work at USCG AIDS to Navigation Team Bristol, Newport (Goat Island), RI. The work includes the following: 1. Remove 20 perimeter blocks and the northwest corner block along the western edge. 2. Reset and plumb approximately 15-end layer of blocks along the western edge. Install new filter fabric and fill. 3. Removes existing concrete block shown. 4. Install new granite blocks in the missing spaces. 5. Remove the north and east face top layer perimeter blocks seaward of the "shift line" shown. Approximate number of blocks is 30. Install new filter fabric and fill. 6. Reset the entire top layer blocks seaward of the "shift line" shown, approximate number of blocks is 216. The 216 number of blocks includes the blocks described for removal in the previous notes. 7. Remove vegetation, loose, and deteriorated mortar from all the top layer joints and prepare joints for new mortar. 8. Remortar all prepared top layer joints. Period of performance is 60 calendar days, 14 calendar days on site. The estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is unrestricted. Solicitation packages will be available on/about November 24, 2000.
