Description

Successful Contractor must furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary to chip and seal all asphalt roadways, driveways, parking areas and to repair hatchery asphalt pavement. The work includes excavation and removal of existing bituminous concrete surface course and subgrade, shape and grade subgrade materials, furnish and place aggregate base course material and a bituminous concrete surface course on the entrance road and other identified locations. The estimated quantities are as follows: clean and seal pavement cracks, 930 linear feet; bituminous seal coat/aggregate, 14000 square yards; 6 inch road base/2 inch bituminous concrete, 1975 square yards; reclaim road ditch, 415 linear feet; overlay existing asphalt, 60 square yards; bituminous prime coat, 60 square yards; pavement marking, 415 linear feet. The project is located at the Ennis National Fish Hatchery, near Ennis, Montana. The Government Estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. If the price exceeds $25,000, a payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of 100% of the price will be required after notice of award. The period of performance is 60 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. The notice to proceed will not be issued until on or about May 15, 2001. Liquidated damages are $52.00 per calendar day. This project is open to both large and small businesses under pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
