Description

NSNs: 1015-01-076-6742 and 6615-01-072-8152, Part Numbers 12283116 and 12283242. The item to procure is Gyro Assembly, NSN 1015-01-076-6742, consisting of a metal box with a 24volt D.C. Rate Gyroscope, NSN 6615-01-072-8152, installed and electrical connectors. Physical Dimensions of the assembly is 2.5 inches x 1.031 inches square. The assembly is a suggested source item to Condor Pacific Industries or the Cadillac Gage Co. Requirements are 173ea of the Gyro Assembly. There is no current requirement for the Rate Gyroscope, a subcomponent of the Gyro Assembly, however proposals will be requested for estimated outyear quantities of this item also. The successful offeror will receive all Army requirements for these two items for a 3 year period from the date of award. Proposals will be requested on an unrestricted basis. FOB is destination. For use on the M1 Tank. Estimated issue date is 20Nov2000. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil.
