Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking companies capable of providing an ultra-violet (UV) curing system for the 1989 Heidelberg 6 Color 102SP, Model No. 528858, sheet-fed offset printing press located in Washington, D. C. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This RFP is identified by solicitation No. BEP-01-05 and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. This acquisition is unrestricted. The contract type will be firm fixed price. The price shall include UV-Curing System, Training and Chiller Credit. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333298. The FAR provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Item, applies to this acquisition and includes the following addendum: Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certification _ Commercial Items, with its offer. The following factors, listed in descending order of importance, will be used to evaluate offerors: (1) equipment attributes, (2) previous experience, (3) past performance, (4) delivery schedule and (5) price. BEP personnel will conduct a pre-award survey of the facility of each offeror in the competitive range.
