Description

(1) The Program Manager Signals Warfare (PMSW), Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, will be releasing the final Request For Proposal (RFP) for the Production of Prophet Systems on or about 20 November 2000. Prophet is the Division-Level ground based electronic battlefield sensing capability and Signals Intelligence & Electronic Warfare (SIGINT/EW) system which provides force protection in a direct support role to the maneuver brigade either stationary or while On-The-Move (OTM). The Prophet system capabilities are organized according to Block upgrades as defined in the Government Statement Of Objectives (SOO) and Technical addendum to the SOO. (2) The upcoming solicitation will be a full and open competition where the RFP defines the performance requirements for the system along with a section defining better value capabilities. Interested offerors are encouraged to visit the CECOM Business Opportunities Page (abop.monmouth.army.mil) to obtain the draft RFP. The Government is seeking the widest possible response from industry including, but not limited to, alternative solutions to the E&MD Prophet. The bottom line is the Government is interested in obtaining the best value system for the Army. (3) Interested parties are encouraged to monitor the CECOM Business Opportunities Page (abop.monmouth.army.mil) for further information regarding the final release of the RFP. (4) This announcement is for information and planning purposes only, does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
