Description

The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center-Natick (USA RMAC-Natick), in support of the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), has a requirement to replace the Jungle Boot and the Desert Boot with one boot, which shall incorporate many of the performance requirements and characteristics of both boots and shall be called the Jungle Desert Boot (JDB). An Industry Pre-Solicitation Conference is scheduled for December 6, 2000 at 9:00 a.m. (EST) at the U.S. Army Soldier and Biological Chemical Command, Soldier Systems Center, Development Building, Conference Room Number D200, Kansas Street, Natick, MA 01750-5011. This requirement is a Full and Open Competitive acquisition with the requirement that any resultant contract(s) to large business(s) shall subcontract 20% of the total contract amount to Small Business(s) and 5% of the total contract amount to Small Disadvantaged Business(s). A Draft Performance Specification will be posted to the USA RMAC-Natick Website at http://www3.natick.army.mil on or about November 15, 2000. The Government anticipates employing Reverse Auctioning and Award Term acquisition strategies with the JDB acquisition, which will be discussed at the Pre-Solicitation Conference. The Government anticipates making multiple Firm Fixed Price ID/IQ contract awards for this acquisition. Interested parties shall submit any questions or inquires concerning the Draft Performance Specification in writing via e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Peggy Dube, at peggy.dube@natick.army.mil no later than 11:00 a.m. (EST) on or before December 1, 2000. Interested parties that wish to attend the Pre-Solicitation Conference shall submit their names, SSN, company represented, and phone number to Peggy Dube, via e-mail to the above address, no later than 11:00 a.m. (EST) on or before December 1, 2000. A final CBD Announcement will be released on or about December 15, 2000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 316213, small business size standard is 500 employees. Firms shall not be reimbursed for any costs associated with proposal preparation and/or the Pre-Solicitation Conference.
