Description

The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation, is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms to perform structural engineering services in retrofitting and repairing a variety of buildings and structures at the Presidio of San Francisco. The Presidio is a National Park and a National Historic Landmark. Scope of services may include but is not limited to assisting Trust staff in developing retrofit plans consisting of seismic upgrades, new construction, specifications, design calculations and cost estimates. Buildings are historic structures constructed of wood, concrete, steel and masonry. Minimum requirements include State of California Civil or Structural Engineering License; Experience with retrofitting unreinforced masonry historic buildings; Knowledge of the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation (36 CFR Part 67); and local office within 60 miles of the Presidio. The Trust anticipates awarding a contract with a base term plus option years. Submittals will be evaluated based upon criteria set forth in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ), including but not limited to: (a) specialized experience in performing structural improvements to historic buildings in accordance with the State Historic Preservation Office requirements; (b) record of past performance; (c) key personnel; and (d) proposed fee schedule.
