Description
LONG TERM LIFE CYCLE SUPPORT FOR "NORTEL NETWORKS" ELECTRONIC DIGITAL TELEPHONE SWITCH SYSTEMS -- MARKET SURVEY This is a Market Survey seeking sources which have the capability to provide the following: Long Term Life Cycle Support for Nortel Networks Electronic Digital Telephone Switch Systems currently installed at DOD locations worldwide. The Nortel Networks SL-100 Telephone Switches require a majority of the support services and offerors must be able to conduct business and place purchase orders directly with Nortel Networks for the services requested. Offerors must provide a management team that includes telephone switch engineers and project managers with experience and formal training on Nortel Networks Telephone Switches, primarily for SL-100 telephone switch systems. The U. S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) requests information from companies regarding their ability to provide manufacturer direct depot level support to Nortel Networks Telephone Switch Models SL-100 and SL-1 and other associated vendor peripheral equipment including Telephone Management Systems, Operator Assistance Management Systems, ISDN equipment and other system peripherals. There are approximately 50 SL-100 Systems and 40 SL-1 Systems to be supported; however, the number of telephone switch systems could increase. The Nortel Networks Telephone Systems are located at U.S. Army Installations and other DOD locations in Korea, Japan, Southwest Asia, Europe and the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. Specific services required include: Depot level support (including system upgrades, enhancements & expansions); Short and Long Term Field Service Support as well as Emergency Field Service Support 24 hours a day 7 days a week, including holidays; Parts Repair & Return, New Parts Replenishment, Remote Diagnostics, Technical Data and Manuals; and Extended Service Plan. This solicitation is NOT intended to duplicate or replace the U.S. Army Administrative Telephone Services (ATS) Program for local operation and maintenance service contracts but it is intended to provide commercially available depot level support for Nortel Networks Telephone Systems. This will be a single award, five year (including options) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity commercial contract under FAR Part 12, with an estimated value of $95 Million.
