Description

T-Photocomposition, digitized artwork and maintenance of PMS Database The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego intends to issue a competitive solicitation to provide photocomposition, computer digitized artwork, and maintenance of the Navy's Planned Maintenance System (PMS) utilizing the contractor's software and hardware. Deliverables include, but are not limited to, generating Electronic Media for document output, loading new documents into the database, generating indices, master file updates, listings and providing to the Government on-line access to the unclassified portion of the database. Delivery under the contract will be FOB Destination (San Diego CA and Norfolk VA). The period of performance will be for a period of a base year and 4 option periods. This is a follow-on procurement to N00244-95-D-5150 established with Volt Alphanumeric Publication Systems. The contractor must have a confidential facility security clearance, and be able to process classified information on the computer system. A performance demonstration/validation is necessary and contractor must demonstrate an acceptable level of production. The estimated quantities will be specified in the solicitation. Copies of the solicitation will only be available electronically on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) world wide web site (http://www.neco.navy.mil, in about two weeks after the original post date of this notice. The proposed contract is unrestricted.
