Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number USZA95-01-T-0004 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Proposals are due by 10:00est, 8 Nov 00. All proposals received will be considered; however, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source contract with MD Helicopters, Inc., 4555 E. McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ 85215 for MD500 series Maintenance and Overhaul training, classes beginning in late November until May 2001 at the contractor's facility (4610 E. Fighter Aces Drive, Mesa, AZ). Since the courses being taught are specifically for MD 500 series aircraft (369 D/E/FF Transmission (5 students) and Airframe (8 students)), it would not be feasible for any other source to instruct the students. The solicitation document and incoprorated provisions and clauses are those ineffect throught Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions REquired To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items; and 252-212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes Or Executive Order Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items.
