Description

The Government intends to purchase, on a sole source basis, complete conference center facilities for the weeks of 04 June -- 09 June 2001 and 06 August 11 August 2001, that will include a large conference room (1200 to 1600 square feet), a favorable learning environment with few distractions, conference-related equipment and services, quality lodging and food service. Conference Center location must be remote enough from Dahlgren, VA that attending students can remain fully focused on the training sessions and not on outside responsibilities, yet, near enough for day visitors (speakers/panelists) to travel there and back in the course of a day. Student lodging and meals will be handled via travel orders and not included in purchase order price. This is a requirement for commercial services that will be processed using FAR Part 13 procedures. The resultant purchase order will be placed with Airlie Conference Center, 6809 Airlie Road, Warrenton, VA 20187. Market Research has shown that Airlie Conference Center is the only area Conference Center with an ideal environment and overall conference facilities necessary to perform all requirements. The Request For Quotation is anticipated to be issued 15 November 2000. Anticipated award date is 24 November 2000. Interested parties other than Airlie must be able to demonstrate in writing no later than 2:00 Eastern Standard Time, 15 November 2000, their capability to provide the requested services. This must include, as a minimum, a notional administrative approach to accomplish required tasking and past performance references for similar efforts within the most recent 18-month period to include customer, description of services provided, contract number, value, and point of contact (name and current phone number).
