Project 00-0020, Replace Floors, Bldg 395 consists of the following work elements: (1) removal and disposal of all materials above existing floor joists to include ceramic tile floor, wood underlayment and wood plank subflooring in the kitchen and bar area for a total of approximately 900 SF (2) disconnection, removal, reinstallation and reconnection of approximately 22 pieces of kitchen equipment to include stoves, steamers, ovens, sinks dishwashers etc. and approximately six pieces of bar equipment such as coolers, sinks, ice makers etc. (3) allow coordination so that after removal of the bar area equipment, the Government can abate asbestos-containing floor tile and adhesive (approximately 130 SF) prior to further Contractor demolition of this area. (4) lengthen existing below joist drain pipe 10 LF to allow for connection of three new floor drains at bar floor area. (5) Install a plywood subfloor, a metal lath and chemical bonding underlayment and epoxy floor covering with an aggregate slip resistant material. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The performance period is 15 Jan 01 through 13 Feb 01. Due to event commitments, this schedule must be adhered to. The NAICS Code is 23552, Floor Laying and Other Floor Contractors. The size standard is $11.5 Million. It is anticipated this solicitation will be issued 20 Nov 00 and opened 15 Dec 00. This acquisition is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is therefore unrestricted.
