Description

The U.S. Army, TACOM-RI, Rock Island, IL is seeking sources for Hydrographic Survey Set. The required Hydrographic Survey Set is a fully integrated system, which provides precise and compreshensive hydrographic surveys for Army Engineer Diving teams. The Set will be utilized for mapping underwater environments, and incorporates a Global Positioning System(GPS), sonar, and advanced contour software, providing a detailed 3D viewing mapping capability to a minimum depth of 50 meters. The system is portable and durable, capable of being operated on watercraft and on the shoreline. The system shall consist of no less than the following components: 1. A GPS data collection and maintenance system, providing real time sub meter accuracy. 2. A sonar system specifically designed for use in river, lake, and inshore and offshore hydrographic surveying. 3. A user-friendly software system with a 3-D capability that integrates all aspects of land modeling, mapping, design, and engineering. 4. A rugged, notebook type, portable Personal Computer (PC), with a CD drive, external modem, and battery pack. 5. Plotter. 6. Portable Power Supply that supplies power to all system equipment for a minimum of four hours. 7. Software Library, including manuals for all software and equipment supplied. 8. Each item listed above will be provided with a rugged case for carrying and storage. 9. All equipment including interconnecting cables will be waterproof for use in an ocean environment. 10. Training of operators will be required after delivery of the Survey Set to an Army Unit. 11. Interested parties that can meet the requirements stated above, please provide your commercial literature on the product along with prices. 12. Also provide information on discount terms, price breaks, warranties, delivery terms and training. 13. Please identify any requirements stated above that you feel are unduly restrictive which would either restrict effective competition or prohibit commercial items as defined in FAR 2.101. 14. Funds are not presently available for this potential acquisition. 15. It should be noted that this is NOT a Request for Proposal; the purpose of the source sought notice is to seek commercial sources that will meet the U.S. Government's requirement.
