Description

The government intends to procure the following requirement as a sole source acquisition from Informational Database Solutions, 142 East Avenue R-2, Palmdale CA 93550 under authority FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and on other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures Threshold. The contract will be awarded by oral quotation and the anticipated award date will be 17 November 2000. The proposed contract action is for the renewal of continued support, modification, testing and maintenance for Airspace Utilization and Reporting System (AURS). AURS is an initiative to develop a comprehensive high level custom database to maintain schedule, flight and target data in the R-2508 complex. The system accepts radar inputs from Rehost air traffic control automation and develops comprehensive report information outlining actual aircraft utilization within the 40,000 square miles R-2508 complex. Support and maintenance for AURS application software shall include but not limited to the following: 1. AURS modification Remotely monitor AURS performance Implement Software patches and repairs Support resolution of system problems and anomalies 2. Support minor software enhancements such as Adding various airspace to AURS capabilities All responsible sources shall submit information, which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide this service. This information must be received by the contracting officer within ten (10) days of the publication of this announcement. A determination by the government not compete the proposed contract based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
