Description

NASA/GSFC is seeking capabilities from small, small disadvantaged and women-owned small businesses for the purposes of determining the appropriate level of competition and/or small business subcontracting goals for operation, maintenance, and upgrade of environmental test equipment and facilities located in the GSFC Building 7/10/15/29 complex and Area 300 magnetic test site; mechanical, electrical, and optical integration of spacecraft, flight experiment components, space shuttle carriers, instruments, sub-assemblies and systems; design, manufacture, and operation of ground handling equipment and fixtures; design, manufacture, and operation of optical alignment and calibration systems; design, manufacture and installation of space flight thermal blankets; design, manufacture and installation of space flight and ground support system cable harnesses; cleanroom operation and maintenance; contamination control; maintenance and operation of certain physical plant systems such as processed water, emergency power, and conditioned cleanroom air HVAC and humidity systems; recertification of lifting and handling devices, and pressure vessel systems; facility and operations safety; and data acquisition and analysis system development and management. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in the CBD and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor these cites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Vendors having the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to submit appropriate documentation, literature, brochures, and references. Please advise if the requirement is considered to be a commercial or commercial-type product. A commercial item is defined in Internet "Note A".
