- Commerce Business Daily Announcement PART: U.S. GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENTS SUBPART: SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL CLASSCOD: U.S. Army Operations Support Command, Attn: AMSOS-CCE-S, Bldg. 350, 5th Floor, Rock Island, IL 61299-6000 SUBJECT: 13 PUEBLO CHEMICAL AGENT DISPOSAL FACILITY (PUCDF) SOL DAAA09-00-R-0156 POC Contract Specialist: Marc Lemon (309) 782-6348 (lemonm@osc.army.mil), Contracting Officer: Brad Pierce (309) 782-1866 (pierceb@osc.army.mil) DESC: The Army intends to competitively solicit industry for destruction of 2,611 tons of mustard (HT/HD) agent munitions stockpiled at Pueblo Chemical DepotDepot (PCD). (PCDT). This effort will require the contractor to lead or support efforts for the to design, construct, acquire/install equipment, systemize, operate, and decommission a chemical agent disposal facility at PCD. Two incineration and two neutralization technology approaches are under consideration. Initial proposals will be submitted and evaluated prior to the technology decision. The technology decision is expected by 31 Aug1 Oct 20001. Once the technology decision is made, final proposals will be requested citing the selected technology requirements. A task order contract is contemplated. At a minimum, the initial task will be for completion of the facility design and program control planning. A Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about November 20, 2000. The closing date for comments to the draft RFP is December 15, 2000. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held on December 5, 2000 in Grand Ballroom B ofat the Convention Center in the Marriott Hotel, Pueblo, CO beginning at 0800. The Conference will end at 1230 and will be followed by a pPueblo Chemical Depot site visit departing from the Marriott Hotel at 1330. Local contractors are expected to attend the conference, so prospective offerors may want to plan to meet with them. Interested parties should visit the OSC Web Page
