Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number USZA95-01-T-0005 is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ)and the closing date is 2:00PMest, Nov 13, 2000. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, General Dynamics, under the authority of FAR 6.302. General Dynamics retains all proprietary data and rights to the requested part (Support Arm, P/N: 219F975, Qty: 44). The requested part shall be delivered to 160th SOAR, Ft. Campbell, KY as soon as they are available (4-5 mos ARO). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date of Nov 13, 2000 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (to be provided with offer); 52-212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items; and 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items. The Defense Priorities and Allocations System and assigned rating of D0A1, as well as the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 336411, applies to this acquisition.
