Description
WJBD VA Medical Center plans to negotiate on a sole source basis with ANMED Family Practice Center, 600 North Fant Street, Anderson, SC 29621, in accordance with 38 U.S.C. 8153, for the establishment of a Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Anderson, South Carolina, to provide primary care services and mental health care services, that fulfill the VA's healthcare delivery requirements, in accordance with all terms, conditions, and provisions of the solicitation. Veterans receiving services under this contract reside primarily in the catchment area of: Oconee, Pickens, Anderson, Abbeville, and Greenwood Counties of South Carolina. The CBOC Contractor's facility must be physically located in the city limits. ANMED Family Practice Center will be expected to sub-contract for any required service, that it does not provide, at no additional cost to the Government. The contract includes a Base Year (one year from date of award) plus 4 one-year renewal options that may be exercised at the option of the Government. The total duration of the contract will not exceed 5 years. This solicitation is issued as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15. The NAICS is 62111 with the size standard of $5.0 million. The solicitation will be issued o/a 11/8/2000. However, they can be obtained from the Contracting Officer upon written request at the address shown in Block 9, Standard Form 1499, or via FAX request (Fax: (803) 695-6781). Any amendments to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address. ANMED Family Practice Center is advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. Any and all questions regarding the solicitation must be in writing and faxed to the Contracting Officer at (803)695-6781. The proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-5. Interested persons may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete to this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
