Description

The work includes the design/build of a child development center for 184 children. The building will be a single, one-story building of 1,369 SM with outdoor playgrounds and related landscaping. Contract completion time is 500 calendar days. The funds available for this procurement are $3,200,000. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR COMPETITION AMONGST FIRMS IN THE 8(A) PROGRAM. The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) is 233320 and the Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1522 with the related small business size standard of $27,500,000. This procurement will be obtained using the two phase design/build procedures outlined in FAR 36.3. Proposals will be evaluated in Phase 1 to determine which offerors will submit proposals for Phase 2. The contract will be awarded to the offeror providing the best value to the Government using criteria outlined in the solicitation. THE GOVERNMENT WILL ISSUE THIS SOLICITATION THROUGH THE INTERNET. Plans and specifications will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format nor CDs. Notification of any changes to this solicitation will be made ONLY on the Internet site. It is, therefore, the contractor's responsibility to check the below listed Internet site daily for any posted changes in this solicitation's plans and specifications which will be available on or about 27 November 2000. Download from the Internet is free of charge; however, the plans and specifications may take time to download. All prospective offerors must register as plan holders on the Internet site for this project.
