- Description
- The work consist of the installation of approximately 19,000 linear feet of cellular concrete mattresses to protect the shoreline fronting placement areas along the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW). The contractor will bid on three typical sections in order to accomplish the work within a specified reach of the GIWW. The initial mobilization/demobilization will be paid for as lump sum and any subsequent mobilization/demobilization will be paid for by the unit price/mile. This contract will be issued as an Indefinite Delivery Contract for Fiscal Year 2001. The plans and specifications will be provided on compact disc (CD) only. To obtain a copy of the CD, you must register at Galveston District's website at www.swg.usace.army.mil/ct. Subcontracting goals for the Galveston District are: 61.4% -- Small Business; 9.1% -- Small Disadvantaged Business; 5.0% -- Woman-Owned; 1.5% -- Hubzone Small Business. The estimated range is from $1 million to $5 million.
