Description
A sole source procurement is contemplated with BAE Systems Mission Solutions Inc., 16550 West Bernardo Drive, San Diego, CA for Interim Contractor Support for the Advanced Support Equipment ANGJM-65 Test Set. The government_s requirement is for the repair of non-warranted failures on the AN/GJM-65 Test Set, support of operational sites including the Weapon System Evaluation Program (WSEP) to repair/support the AN/GJM-65 Test Set, update the AN/GJM-65 Test Set due to a change in the weapon system or to eliminate a discrepancy, and provide engineering support to accomplish analyses (failure, reliability and improvements). BAE Systems is the only known qualified source to perform this effort. They are the prime contractor for the AN/GJM-65 Test Set. The government does not have a Technical Data Package for ICS. Interested parties may submit statements of capability (SOC) demonstrating their ability to perform the requirements as stated above. The period of performance will be one year beginning in January 2001 with two one year options. The closing date for submission of qualifications is 15 days after date of publication of this notice. This is not a request for proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government. An ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
