Description: See numbered Notes 12 and 26. NSN 2540-01-158-1125 -- Shock Absorber, Direct Acting. In accordance with Naval Sea Systems Command (53711) drawing 6227488 and all related data. Optional finish requirements are as follows: exception to drawing 53711 6227488: add these words to Note 2, 'Inorganic zinc primer not required'. Exception to drawing 80064 2584542: in paragraph 3.3.2.2, change the words 'thickness (total, one or two coats) of 1.80 to 2.20 mils' to read 'thickness (total, one or two coats) of 1.80 mils minimum'. Required delivery is 68 each in 90 days with each additional 34 each in 30 days thereafter to be shipped to various stock locations within CONUS. FOB is destination. This solicitation is an RFP and will be available on the Internet at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfp on its issue date of 11-03-00. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total shall not exceed 2 years. This is an unrestricted acquisition. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. A written quotation is required. This is an Indefinite Quantity Type Contract. This procurement is unrestricted.
