Description

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to renew monthly usage and service for 79 satellite telephones for Fiscal Year 2001. The FHWA plans to negotiate with Motient, Incorporated to provide this service. Because Motient, Incorporated originally supplied the satellite telephones they are the only known source that can provide these services. Therefore, no other source is considered reasonably available. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is November 21, 2000.
