Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to solicit and negotiate a modification with Aero Systems Engineering (ASE), 358 East Fillmore Ave., St. Paul, MN, under the current BOA with ASE, N68335-00-G-0211, for two additional years of technical support of the A/E37T-36 Standard Engine Test System (SETS) in Malaysia. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only supplier of these services as they are the sole designer and manufacturer of the operating software of the SETS. The additional two years of technical support will include preventative maintenance, calibration, and re-familiarization training of the SETS, as well as on-site support to include component repair, labor, equipment, and material to accomplish unscheduled maintenance and emergency repair of the SETS in Malyasia. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
