Description

Performance Period 1 OCT 00 -- 30 SEP 01 Anticipated Award Date DEC 00 Contractor shall provide lawn care service for an estimated 161 acres within the Military Family Housing areas. Application provided by the Contractor shall control annual and perennial weeds and fertilize each lawn to include all equipment, transportation, labor and materials required to perform the work. Two applications are required: First application shall include the control of annual weeds with a preemergent herbicide prior to weed germination. Application shall also include nitrogen, phosphate, and potassium fertilization, and shall be completed between early March and 15 April 01. Second application shall consist of adequate fertilization and broadleaf control. This application shall be completed 15 September and 15 October 01. NOTE: Contractor shall submit documentation specifying types and quantities of herbicides and fertilizers to the contracting officer for approval prior to use. The approximate issue/response date will be 28 NOV 2000. The anticipated award date will be 18 Dec 2000. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. See our Web page. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
