Description

The U.S. Department of State (DoS), Office of Acquisition Management, intends to award a purchase order to Excalibur Technologies, 1959 Palomar Oaks Way, Carlsbad, CA 92009, to renew Software Support & Maintenance Agreement for one year. Excalibur Technologies has completed the initial installation and holds the current maintenance agreement. As the holder of the maintenance agreement, only Excalibur Technologies can initiate/modify the upgrade and coverage for new units. Maintenance of the system by a third party will impose unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements as well as give cause to termination of the existing maintenance agreement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The U.S. Government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Excalibur Technologies has been determined the only responsible source based on the circumstance of the current maintenance agreement. See Note 22.
