THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY, NO PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking information for a potential National Campaign to Change Children's Health Behavior. This campaign, would be developed in collaboration with the Health Resources and Services Administration, the National Institute for Child Health and Development, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and would communicate messages that help youth develop habits that foster good health over a lifetime, including the importance of physical activity. This campaign would be developed on the most effective, cutting-edge principals of communications and marketing utilized by those in the public and private sector to reach adolescents. CDC is interested in taking advantage of industry experience and ideas on how to best approach this project and is inviting interested organizations to provide written information, or the opportunity to provide ideas and strategies in oral presentation to selected CDC staff. These presentations may be up to one hour each and will be scheduled during the week of December 4-8, 2000 in one hour blocks from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Atlanta, GA.
