Description

The Corps of Engineers has a need for a construction contract for the Saw Mill Run Local Flood Protection Project, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The work consists of channel excavation; construction of the following: Sheet pile walls; Concrete gravity wall, Concrete tie-back walls with rock anchors, and concrete cantilever walls; Concrete drop structure; Concrete bridge abutment protection structure. Also included is placement of revetment mat; relocation and replacement of sanitary sewer pipe; relocation and replacement of sanitary sewer siphon; removal of abandoned bridge; and appurtenant site work. The period of performance will not exceed 630 calendar days. Magnitude of the project is over $10,000,000; The plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a printed paper hard copy format. The CD's will be available approximately 11/27/00. This procurement is being advertised unrestricted.
