Description
THIS IS A READVERTISEMENT OF DACW68-00-B-0041 SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS AND NO LONGER HUBZONE SET-ASIDE. THE SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. The work will consist of furnishing and installing an oil-skimmer assembly at Lower Granite Dam on the Snake River. The components of the oil-skimmer consist of a motor driven belt and scraper assembly. The belt is 8 inches wide extending approximately 60 feet below the motor drive. Ancillary equipment associated with the oil-skimming system consists of a decanter, storage drum, drum pump and float gauge. In addition a skimmer system for the draft tubes shall be provided, consisting of a skimmer head, diaphragm pump, separator and oil recovery tank. A portable separation unit capable of separating oil and water mixtures at a flow rate of 10 gpm shall also be provided. Steel pipe from 14-inch to 4-inch diameter in various lengths and configurations is required. Smaller diameter PVC and vinyl piping is required to complete the oil-skimmer assembly. Structural steel fabrication of supports, inlet baffle, and access hatch is required. Steel parts require hot-dip galvanizing. Mechanical equipment includes floats, valves, pumps, speed reducers, and other items associated with the oil-skimmer assembly. Electrical equipment includes motors, starters and associated controls, cabinets and boxes, conduits, wires and cables, control panels, alarming, and other items. Concrete work includes core drilling a 42-inch diameter access hole in a 36-inch floor slab and core drilling for a 2-inch conduit in 6- and 8-inch concrete walls and ceilings. Adhesive grout is required to secure an access hatch. Temporary dewatering pumps will be required to facilitate installation of new equipment. The estimated cost range for this job is between $100,000 and $250,000. The north american industry classification system code is 234990. The small business size standard is average annual receipts for the previous three fiscal years must not exceed $27,500,000. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which may be considered.
