Description

A Contractor is needed to fabricate and install Austrian shade draperies, festoon valances, and cascades to replicate existing treatments in Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol from the specifications and drawings. Treatments are to be double faced and interlined, single faced -- interlined and lined with ecru sateen with fringes and tassels as specified. Installation is to include all labor, equipment, and materials and perform the work required for the delivery and installation of treatments per schedule established by the Architect of the Capital (AOC) within all OHSA requirements. As an option the House may provide the scaffolding necessary to install the drapery treatments. The Contractor shall provide pricing for fabrication and installation with and without Architect of the Capitol provided scaffolding. A pre-proposal conference to allow offerors to examine the installation site in Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol will be held on November 15, 2000 at 11:00 AM in Room 1116 Longworth House Office Building, Independence Ave. and New Jersey Ave., S.W., Washington, DC. Offerors shall be limited to seven representatives and name(s) must be supplied at least two days prior to the pre-proposal conference to the CO in writing or by facsimile to (202) 226-2213.
