Description

NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Proposal for SPECTRUM ENGINEERING SUPPORT -- INTERNATIONAL. This effort will include engineering studies and technical assistance for the electromagnetic spectrum telecommunications systems as required for near-earth and deep space research, spectrum regulatory assistance, technology development, and special events and technical secretariat support. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 51339 and $11M, respectively. The provisions and clauses in the RFP and model contract are those in effect through FAC 97-19. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about November 13,2000 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about December 13,2000. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, PowerPoint 4.0) format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
