Description

The Billings Area Indian Health Service (IHS) intends to award a Contract Health Service (CHS) requirements type contract for the provision of Professional Radiology Services. The services include all standard radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations; all ingestible and/or injectable procedures; ultrasonography procedures; mammography; and teleradiology services at the Blackfeet Service Unit, PHS Indian Hospital, Browning, Montana. The services shall be performed in accordance with IHS, HCFA, and JCAHO regulations. The contract requires the services of a board certified radiologist. The radiologist must be certified to perform mammography examinations in accordance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992. In accordance with the IHS Payment Policy (Federal Register Vol. 51, No. 125, June 30, 1986, pages 23540-41 -- Tab 1, Exhibit 1), the IHS shall consider award to the offeror willing to accept reimbursement at rates no higher than the prevailing Medicare allowable rate (including deductibles and co-payments). The contract shall be awarded for a base year with four (4) renewal years.
