Description

The Dorn VA Medical Center, Columbia, SC, is issuing solicitation RFQ 544-020-01. Contractor to provide a Board Certified Radiologist to perform radiology services at the VA Medical Center, Columbia, SC for a period of one year with two one-year options. The services will include reading and interpreting radiographs in the VA Medical Center, Radiology & Nuclear Medicine Service. Services will be required for an estimated 70-100 studies per day that will be read and interpreted of varying modalities. Duties shall include invasive procedures such as angiography, biopsies, percutaneous drainages and all procedures that would be performed by a staff radiologist. The standard work hours are 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays. The contractor will be included on the general radiology call schedule. As part of this schedule, call will be taken one week at a time, approximately every three weeks. The contractor will be required to take call for invasive radiology 24 hours per day seven days a week. It is estimated that 50 invasive radiology procedures per year may be required during the night, weekend, or holiday hours. Solicitation documents will be available in electronic and hard copy form.
